Penalty Shoot Out uses the drama of a penalty spot to create a short casino round. In Evoplay's original game, a scoring run can reach five successful kicks. A missed shot cuts the attempt short. After a goal, the player may collect the available payout rather than risk it on the next penalty.
The five-kick limit describes a possible winning sequence. It does not grant five chances to recover from a miss. The distinction matters when reading the progress displayed during a round.
Three Possible Runs
Imagine three separate attempts using the same game rules. The first ends at the opening penalty when the goalkeeper saves the shot. The sequence records no goals and closes immediately.
In the second attempt, the player scores twice before missing the third kick. The earlier successes opened later stages, but the exposed payout is lost after the failed shot. A fresh round would begin at the first penalty.
The third attempt reaches the final stage. Four successful shots have kept the sequence active, allowing the player to take a fifth. Scoring there completes the run. No additional kick follows in this original release.
Why Five Matters
Evoplay sets a defined endpoint for the original game's progression. The player can reach that point through consecutive goals. Every successful penalty also presents a decision about the amount currently available to collect.
A football tournament follows different rules. A real shootout can extend beyond an initial set of kicks when the score remains tied. This casino game does not simulate alternating teams or sudden death after its final stage.
Recognising a Result
A kick produces a goal or a miss. The on-screen animation shows the ball travelling towards the keeper, then presents the outcome. Selecting a country affects the team's appearance. The direction chosen for a shot is part of the interaction, while the game's algorithm resolves the result.
The number of completed goals describes progress in the current attempt. It cannot predict whether the next ball will pass the goalkeeper. A streak of four successes still leaves the fifth penalty unresolved.
The End of a Round
The sequence closes after a failed kick, a voluntary collection following a goal or completion of the fifth successful shot. Those endings have different consequences for the amount at stake. The Cash Out explanation examines when the available payout is secured.
Starting a separate round returns the sequence to its opening stage. Earlier goals have no place in the new attempt. For details about identifying an active control or reading the display, consult the game controls reference.
A Fixed Game Format
Evoplay released the original Penalty Shoot-Out in May 2020 under its Instant Games category. Later football-themed releases from the same developer use their own formats. Rules belonging to Cup Mania or Super Spin should not be applied to the five-kick original.
